Susan Elaine Carrison

Susan Elaine Carrison,74, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2026. She was born on Friday, August 24, 1951, at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan. On August 22, 1981, in Gurnee, Susan married the love of her life, Ronald Carrison.

Susan liked to sing and play the organ. She read travel books and mysteries. She enjoyed knitting and needlepoint. She was quick to laugh and patiently kind. She listened more than she spoke and said more than she realized. She loved, was loved and will be missed.  

Susan is survived by her loving family, her husband of 44 years, Ron; son, Tedd (Marisa) Carrison; daughter, Elizabeth (Ryan Gallagher) Carrison; sister, Carolyn Topel; brothers, Kurt (Laura) Topel and William "Bud" (Lisa) Topel; cousin and best friend, Nancy (Terry) Gordon; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 10-11am, at Gurnee Community Church, 4555 Old Grand Avenue, Gurnee, IL. Funeral services will take place at 11am following the visitation at church with Rev. Brian K. Walter officiating. Burial will be private at Warren Cemetery, Gurnee, IL.
